Some of the best stories start on a whiteboard, a messy notes app, or a half-formed idea in a meeting. My superpower is turning those sparks into creative people actually want to watch.
👋 I'm Shadé Olasimbo, an Emmy-nominated Creative Director, Producer, Editor, and Videographer based in Metro Atlanta… and someone who’s spent the last 14+ years helping teams figure out not just what to say, but how to make it land. I do it with clear plans, open communication, and just enough fire to keep creative teams energized. Most people know they need great storytelling. They just don’t always know how to get there.
At HubSpot, I lead production for Spotlight, the company’s global cross-functional product campaign that rolls out twice a year across web, video, live events, and social. I also helped launch The Hustle YouTube channel, bringing business content to life with bite and personality. Between those efforts, I’ve produced 500+ pieces of web and social content, ideas that started on a whiteboard and became assets people actually watch.
But my work doesn’t stop at the day job.
Since launching FCOlasimbo Productions LLC in 2020, I’ve partnered with clients across tech, education, healthcare, nonprofits, and more as a strategic creative partner and production lead. Whether I’m calling shots on a multi-day shoot or shaping a story in the edit bay, I bring clarity, collaboration, and genuine care to every frame. My freelance work has supported national campaigns, training programs, and brand storytelling across industries, helping organizations turn good ideas into stories that move people to action.
Before all that, I wore a lot of hats (and headsets) to get here. I started in sports television at WPSU, where I earned two Emmy nominations for my work on the Penn State Football and Basketball coaches shows. From there: producing content for 16 NCAA teams at the University of Miami, creating industry storytelling for the National Association of Manufacturers, and helping make brain science binge-worthy at the NeuroLeadership Institute.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I’m a proud Penn State grad with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and minors in Theatre and Sociology. I also hold a Master’s in Community and Social Change from the University of Miami, a program grounded in the belief that systems and stories should center people, not just outcomes. That philosophy still shapes how I approach every project and every team I work with.
When I’m not on set or in post, you’ll likely find me performing improv, cheering on college sports, experimenting in the kitchen, or nerding out over the latest MCU release. I’m also deeply invested in mentoring emerging creatives and using storytelling to amplify historically excluded voices.
If you’ve made it this far, you’re probably ready to see the work… and I’ve got you covered. Use the buttons below to explore the site and find me on social.
Let’s connect. And if there’s a good story to tell, you already know I’m in.
